The Queen’s Birthday Fly Past

A large formation of military aircraft will form Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Flypast on 9 June 2018.

The Flypast formation will form up at Southwold and route via Ipswich, abeam Colchester, Chelmsford and enter the London City Control Zone south of Stapleford aerodrome; the formation will overfly Buckingham Palace and route via RAF Northolt and RAF Halton and disperse in the RAF Brize Norton area. The flypast will be over Buckingham Palace at 1pm. This means that the formation will pass by the Park some time between 10.10am and 12.05pm, offering us the chance to watch planes including the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster, Spitfire & Hurricane fly down the coast before heading inland and South to Buckingham Palace.

The rehearsals for this flypast will be held during the period 5th to 7th June 2018 and will start in the vicinity of Southwold, Suffolk then route via the overhead of RAF Marham, Norfolk and conclude, for dispersal, at RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire.
