Our guests regularly comment on the quality of our facilities, here are just a few reviews we have recently received:
“Visited Cakes & Ale for the first time last week, and were pleasantly surprised at how nice this site is. It’s very quiet and so well spaced out, with big gaps between pitches and a large empty lawned area in the centre, like a huge village green. There’s an area for families with a good playground for kids, and also an adults only section for those who prefer it.
The shower block is immaculate with individual toilet rooms, and a couple of separate shower rooms as well as the usual shared shower rooms.
All the pitches are serviced with water, grey water drainage and electrical connection. Wi-Fi is available at a very low cost compared to some sites. Cakes and Ale is ideally situated for visiting Aldeburgh, Southwold and other coastal resorts, and many other places of interest. Thorpeness was our favourite, a beautiful village with a huge boating lake they call the Mere.
Cakes and Ale is kept very clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely return. A gem of a site.” Stephen C, 18.09.16
“We first visited this site 3 weeks ago to meet up with a cousin who was staying there. We were so impressed we immediately booked a further week commencing on the 2nd of September. We spend at least 6/7 weeks each year in our motor home in France as well as other sites in the UK. This site is most certainly the best we have ever stayed on in terms of its cleanliness, domestic facilities, ample space between vehicles etc. The area has so much to offer along the suffolk coast line. We have returned home loaded with local produce some of which were bought at the side of roads where the money is placed in honesty boxes. I regret to say where we live an honesty box is an item in your dreams!
Finally the staff and owner could not be more helpful and friendly. We will return !!” Doocan, 14.09.16
