🎶Light up🎶 Could it be Christmas Number One?

This is a slightly personal blog so I hope I will be forgiven, especially as it is the season of goodwill!

How happy do the children in the video look? It’s no wonder really, they are pupils at Flakefleet Primary School; the Happiest Primary School in the UK! One of the cheeky smiling faces is my friends son Parker which is why I got involved in helping to raise awareness and downloads, in the beginning. But the more I did, the more I realised that this is about so much more than supporting a friend or sharing a link. It is about community, is it about awareness of Alzheimer’s and it is about true British determination.

What started with an iPhone and local care home, has grown into a nationwide, and almost worldwide, message of sharing Christmas happiness and love. The children at Flakefleet Primary wrote “Light Up”, filmed their own video and have released a serious contender for the coveted Christmas Number One! They had no fancy film crew, big budget or a global brand or label to promote them. They had no film set, no famous collaborators, no TV adverts. But what they did have, was a dream. A dream to spread their happiness, to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Society and to share their message. And my goodness have they managed that! But why stop there? We still have 2 days to help them reach Number One. We have 2 day to spread this so far and wide that as a country, we stand together and back the generation that could make a change. The happiest children in the UK are putting their faith in you, to purchase their single and to tell anyone who will listen why you have purchased it, and why they should too! I believe we can do them proud, I believe that Christmas miracles do happen and that this year’s Christmas Number One will spread positivity and caring.
